Granny's Sour Cream Pound Cake

I don't love to cook, but I love the way Granny's Sour Cream Pound Cake looks sitting in a cake dome on our kitchen countertop!

My husband says, he can't remember a time when he saw his Granny that she didn't make her Sour Cream Pound Cake special for him. I love that!

Over 10 years ago, while we were visiting her in Georgia, she pulled out a piece of notebook paper and wrote down the recipe for me. At the time, I didn't think much of it, besides I would use her handwritten recipe to make his favorite cake from time to time.

As I stand at the stove, stirring the sugar (CONSTANTLY) until it dissolves, I can hear her sweet Southern voice cheering me on every time!

I've made her cake more times than I can count, and her handwritten recipe on an old piece of notebook paper (with spills and splatters), now hangs on our kitchen wall.

Framing a sentimental recipe is a great way to add personal style to your home!

Granny's Sour Cream Pound Cake is a very simple recipe. The day she wrote it down on a piece of notebook paper, neither one of us would have ever thought it would hanging on a kitchen wall as a piece of art. I know she would love that!
