I had so much fun designing our guest bathroom remodel blending timeless elegance with unexpected modern touches. My goal was to design a space where guests felt pampered and at home, surrounded by thoughtful design and luxurious details.
And the best part? It proves that creating a luxurious space doesn't have to break the bank. Today, I'm excited to share the design process, budget-friendly items, and the stunning end result of our guest bathroom.
The Transformation
The transformation was everything I envisioned and more! Here's a breakdown of the process:
Design and Planning: The first step was to create a detailed design plan. At a designer event, I fell in love with a beautiful Greek key grasscloth wallpaper, which became the focal point of my design. This choice guided all my selections of materials and fixtures for the space.
The Stroheim Greek key wallpaper is a wholesale item and can be purchased through APiD.
2. Demolition: It was out with the old and in with the new! During the design phase, I decided to replace the tub with a walk-in shower, featuring stunning porcelain slab walls to avoid grout lines. Nothing from the old bathroom remained in this remodel.
3. Installation: APiD skilled professionals reworked plumbing and electrical lines, installed tile, marble vanity, and fixtures with precision and care.
4. Finishing Touches: Finally, the decor items were added to complete the look.
The Result
Finishes & Materials:
The ceiling, trim, molding, and door are painted in Sherwin Williams Caviar.
The freestanding marble vanity and porcelain slab shower walls were purchased, fabricated, and installed through Set in Stone in Dallas.
Marble floor tiles were sourced from Floor & Decor and installed by an APiD subcontractor.
The main floor features 3" x 6" honed marble tiles installed in a double basket weave pattern.
The shower floor features 1" x 3" mosaic herringbone marble tiles.
